Gold Plated E-Mails

Anyone maybe used anytime for a higher good.  This short story provides an interesting and unique look at greatness.  A man named Randy Booth receives an e-mail that changes his life for all time.  This unusual and thought provoking allegory is another of Elgin J. Dobbins’ short story entitled “Gold Plated E-mails”.  This short story is about an ordinary man selected to carry out assignments based on the e-mails he receives.
Many people dream of doing something out of the ordinary; something that makes them special.  That doesn’t make them seem narcissistic or egotistical, it just makes them human.  Very few get a chance to do something special, and rarer yet, few individuals have a chance to become altruistic while doing this special thing.  Randy Booths is selected for a fate that few could dream of in their most abstract imaginations.  He steps out onto a preverbal limb that once he commits himself; he can not retreat from.
Special people are indeed few and far between, but Randy Booth is one of these special people who are at the top of the pile.  To quote a famous saying, he is a mild mannered husband, father, and co-worker who possess abilities far beyond those of ordinary men.  He has an influential friend who trusts him to carry out the most delicate and vital errands ever assigned to a person.  Randy becomes as vital to the tasked that he is given as a rancher is to the safety of his livestock.
This is a story that all should read and is a must read for those who love a story that is thoughtfully and intelligently written.  “Gold plated E-mails” is a tale that will stay with and inspire the reader.  It will encourage thinking that is far out of the box and will jump-start an imagination that may have been surprised since leaving adolescence.  “Gold Plated E-Mails” promises be the feel good story of you life.
