He’d had enough. He had been patient and he had been (as he thought), in love. But that was a million years ago. His beloved wife of over a quarter of a century was not the young girl he’d met at his cousin’s sixteenth birthday party. His social circle consisted of his lifelong best mate, Jamie, his supervisor and an ageing sado-masochist.

How did he get here? Was this all there was? A loveless marriage - a shared cat - and a dead end job?
