Desiree King is an assignment editor at KDPX-TV in St. Louis, MO.  She dispatches crews to breaking
news scenes. Her focus is to stay ahead of the competition. Sometimes, her decisions make her unpopular with reporters and photographers that are ready to call it a night. Overall, she’s easy to work with, respected, and compassionate. However, there is one thing she won’t even consider, and that’s crossing the professional line by dating coworkers. Desiree had been an eye witness to too many office romances that had gone awry. She’s adamant about not being included in that pool.
Enter award-winning investigative reporter Brooke Mitchell. He makes life challenging for Desiree with his thoughtful gestures. He tries to convince Desiree that as practicing Christians, they could show their coworkers how to separate their personal and private lives without compromising their morals. He’s willing to abide by any rules Desiree sets. However, Brooke is a strategic player that always prays before he makes his next move.
