Sai picked up Mahalsapati and smilingly Said to him, “My and Shirdi’s relation is very old, I was waiting for the suitable time to come here and finally the time has come today and now this Sai will not go anywhere leaving Shirdi.”
Mahalsapati made the arrangements for the Baba to stay in the temple, but Saibaba denied having the food prepared in the temple. He would daily go in one house and ask for alms; with that alms he would spend his day. He first asked for alms from Waijabai named females house; she was a very devoted lady of God Khandova. When she saw Sainath at her doorsteps then she understood that God has himself come at her doors. Sai had addressed her as ‘Mother’, on hearing this in her minds motherly feelings and love had arisen. She hugged Sai as her son, thereafter Sai throughout his life respected and regarded her more than a real mother. She had a son named ‘Tatya Kote’; he also loved Saibaba like his mother. Tatya Kote throughout his life remained a devoted disciple of Sainath.
