Powerless
Over a distance I heard it coming,
what sounded like roaring thunder,
a big dark cloud rolling towards me,
for it wants to unleash it’s power,
a devastating chain of events...
Those long lost words are whispered,
for I must head North to escape.
But North is just another dead end,
haunting is this approaching noise,
thunder, sounds of the darkness...
Why won’t this door open for me,
“No Entry, Not Allowed, Keep Out?”
I want to kill my pain, all of it,
but I’m too lost to be saved.
Just open this door for me...
My wounds cry for the deep dark hole,
my soul cries for deliverance,
for this pain is just too real,
wanting for it all to end today,
but yet I am a coward...
For I am bleeding, not stopping,
the thunder is close, I can smell it,
darkness, sorrow and pain is roaring.
I am hiding away, will it help?
Unwilling to go, unwilling to stay either...
Holding my last breath inside myself,
my life flashing in front of my eyes,
for all I remember is all the pain,
it overpowers all the good,
evil remains, eating away at me...
Closing my ears and eyes to disappear,
this truth drives me into madness,
it’s almost here, nowhere to run now,
I’m frightened by what I am hearing,
blinded by my tears, I wait...
Ripping, tearing, taking away it all,
for closing my eyes helps take the pain away,
or so I thought, it remains intense.
I am powerless against the darkness,
it’s coming towards me to fast...
For it is gone, leaving it behind,
my presence is just disappearing,
into the abyss I float away,
leaving behind sorrow and despair,
leaving behind all of me...
Locked up in a dark place,
among the ashes I have found myself,
here I shall remain till the end of days,
for the cloud has come and gone,
unveiling the devastation left behind...
