This is the complete Master’s trilogy by Ashley Ryan. These three novella’s follow the lives of Rebekah, Sissy, Alice and Mary throughout their years as slaves or slave owners. The first book begins when Rebekah returns home to her father’s plantation after being away at school, she is afraid things may have changed. Her slave friend Sissy is also afraid that things may have changed. Once the two are reunited Sissy finds out that Rebekah has returned with more lustful things on her mind. Rebekah refuses to choose a man from the many that her father would have her marry. Instead she decided to make her first time an illicit affair with dire repercussions.
The second books begins when Alice’s master sells her to a larger plantation, her life gets turned upside down. Miserable with her new chores she makes a deal with one of the white men employed by the plantation owner believing that she’s making a better life for herself. In the third book Mary and Thomas have fallen in love. Only Mary is still a slave and has been sold to a new master. When her new master refuses to sell her to Thomas, he takes matters into his own hand causing disastrous consequences not only for he and Mary but for everyone around him.
