The Princess and Curdie

This book is the sequel to The Princess and the Goblin. The adventure continues with Princess Irene and Curdie a year or two older. They must overthrow a set of corrupt ministers who are poisoning Irene's father, the king. Curdie has begun to doubt Irene's tale of her mysterious grandmother who he has never met.  But then she appears to him and gives him a special gift.  He will need to use it and a monster called Lina to aid Irene in freeing the king from danger. Illustrated with a collection of beautiful drawings from several illustrators.
