Hard Times

In the course of an interrogation, Gabriel Carter, a homicide detective, whose life has been spiraling out of control, and a fourteen year-old junkie named Dylan, whose life has finally hit bottom, discover they have more in common than either one of them could imagine, and maybe form a bond that will last a lifetime. For two people that have seen more than their fair share of Hard Times, this night isn't what they want, but maybe what they need.

Alex J Ankrom was born and raised in Pennsylvania.  He earned two degrees from Boston University: a BA in Political Science & Philosophy and an MFA in Creative Writing.  He also has an MFA in Screenwriting from The American Film Institute.  He has been a semifinalist in the Final Draft Big Break Contest and the Nicholl Fellowship.  He currently lives in Los Angeles.
