Fifteen year old Zara Renee Coleman is taken into foster care when both parents develop acute psychiatric conditions following a family tragedy, and are unable to provide adequate care for her. Whilst trying to adapt to a new life with her foster mother, Zara attracts global media attention, but manages to inspire teenagers everywhere.
