The Whore Son

Braccus is a fourteen year old street urchin. He lives on scraps and sleeps with the pigs. One evening, while the warriors of his clan celebrate a recent victory, he finds himself on the receiving end of a brutal beating at the hands of his chieftain's drunken son. He would have been killed if not for the interference of a warrior-priest.

Not content with merely saving the boy's life, his saviour takes Braccus into his service and sends him on a sacred quest. A quest that takes the youth far from his home, and by a series of chance encounters has him play a pivotal role in a civil war that soon sweeps through the entire region.
