Allison Katherine, aka Alley Kat, heats up Hollywood and the big screen but inside she feels cold and alone. She lives the fairy tale life but can't help feeling that something is missing. Escape seems her only option so Allie implements the daring role-of-a-lifetime opportunity by becoming a---nobody. Disguising herself, Allison becomes "Katie" and attempts to blend in with the rural folks of Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Not an easy task for this Hollywood princess who is used to the lavish lifestyle of the extremely rich and very famous. It is made even more difficult by the confusing affections for two men: one who knows her for who she is and the other who is determined to keep her at arm's length in spite of his obvious attraction for her. Her overbearing mother and devious agent bring more distraction to the drama as they lead a nation-wide manhunt for the missing actress.
