Missing Jessica

Seventeen year-old Jessica Braxton-Smith disappeared from the beach town of Somerset, Rhode Island, leaving behind only a cryptic note. Now, five years later and unsatisfied with police efforts to find Jessica, Paul Braxton-Smith hires Private Investigator Jane Bradford to find his daughter. For Jane, the case provides a convenient excuse to avoid addressing her own complicated relationship, and her feelings become increasingly conflicted when she is partnered with an intriguing local cop. Jane soon finds that the circumstances surrounding Jessica's disappearance are just as complicated - and far more disturbing - than anything she left behind in New York.
