Freeborn Garrettson (1752-1827) was one of the original Methodist circuit riders. He travelled extensively throughout parts of the United States and Canada and helped to establish the Methodist Church in America.
When he died, his wife commissioned Nathan Bangs (a well-known Methodist historian) to create this book. She provided Bangs with journals, letters, and other documents necessary to create this incredible look into Garrettson's life.
Anyone who enjoys biographies, US history, or church history would surely be captivated by this classic.
