Howard Lovecraft is an American writer, who became famous for his works of horror fiction. His stories were not very popular when he was alive and they were only published in pulp magazines. Nowadays he is considered as one of the best 20th-century authors in his genre. The story The Call of Cthulhu consists of three interconnected parts. It is presented as the notes of Francis Thurston, a resident of Boston, who was involved in an investigation related to the deity, called Cthulhu. Cthulhu is a fictional deity worshiped by followers of a violent cult. They believe that their god sleeps in his own city on the dead island, waiting for the hour to awake. Will anyone involved in this story survive, if the ancient horror really arises?
