Dracula is a Gothic horror novel written by Irish author Bram Stoker in 1897, famous for character of the vampire Count Dracula. The story is about Count trying to move from Transylvania to England to find new blood and spread there the curse of undead. It is also about the fight between group of people and Dracula led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing. Dracula refers to many genres including horror fiction, gothic novel, vampire literature and invasion literature. The novel is primarily concerned with themes of role of women in Victoria culture, sexual conventions, colonialism and immigration. Although Stoker did not invent the vampire, he made his unique form of it, and the novel has incarnated in numerous theatrical, film and television interpretations.
