Maid Maleen

Maid Maleen is a fairy tale collected by German brothers, academics, linguists, and cultural researchers Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm under number 198. They were among the best-known storytellers of folk tales, and popularized stories such as "Cinderella", "Hansel and Gretel" , "Rapunzel", and "Snow White" . The main character on the story is a princess named Maleen. Once she fall in love with a prince from other country, but she wasn’t allowed to marry him by her father who ordered to lock up his daughter in a tower with her servants and food to eat for seven years. After seven years have passed they eventually ran out but no one came to deliver more food. There was no king and no kingdom, only remains of a lost war.
