The first stage of Orpheus King’s quest is underway. En route to Lisbon with only the spirit of the dead Rebecca to guide him, struggling stage magician Orpheus finds even more inexplicable powers awakening within him. He has barely left England’s shores when he is given a glimpse of the horrors lying in wait for him — horrors which are slowly but surely beginning to awaken.

In search of the first segment of a mysterious artefact, Orpheus soon finds himself at the centre of terrible events, threatening to plunge him and all of humanity into an endless and unspeakable world of chaos.

The Trickster is the second episode of The Curious Tale of Orpheus King, a story of occult secrets and brooding horror in the tradition of H.P. Lovecraft.
