The Donkey

Labouise nicknamed Chicot and his partner Maillochon marauding river . They poach on the banks , the pockets are drowned descending or flying canoes on occasion. That night , the pair pull rabbits. After killing two , they fall asleep in their boat . At dawn, they watch the spectacle of a woman who takes an ass to slaughter.

Labouise , who want to have fun , bought the donkey percent in the woman and then moves to forty paces and shoots the animal with small shot . We must not kill right away and make it last. Suddenly, two shots in the third , the exhausted beast tries to flee . The two men complete it by shooting him in the mouth.
