The Clever Woman of the Family

Charlotte Mary Yonge (11 August 1823 – 24 May 1901) was an English novelist. Her most known works are The Heir of Redclyffe, that became her fist success, and Heartsease and The Daisy Chain.  History of Christian Names by her was claimed to be the first serious work on the matter. Yonge was one of the most popular writers in England in XIX century, her work works were admired by such proven writers as Lewis Carroll, Anthony Trollope, Charles Kingsley and many more.
