The twelfth story involving DCI Victor Moyes and DS Victoria Morgan set in the nineteen sixties sees them trying to apprehend a vicious pair of criminals who have carried out a number of robberies. With the arrival of a newly promoted Detective Constable, we also follow Victoria as she breaks the rules and succumbs to his charms and this story concentrates as much on her personal life as it does on the case they are trying to solve. This is a dangerous course for her to take, as it could jeopardise her relationship Victor and could lead to her losing out on their visits to the Abberford Palais where she loves to indulge in her passion…dancing.
In this story we see a much darker side of Victoria as the exhibitionist in her takes over and she flaunts herself in front of everyone.
She also finds herself having to fend off an attempt to blackmail her into having sex with one of her colleagues.
