The Jolly Sailor is a pirate comedy drama for teenagers. It is based around a group of friends known as the Posse and among them is William who does not 'do' adventures. He had had lead a sheltered life and that's just how his father, a customs officer, had arranged it - had he had known that his mother was Gracie O'Donnell - the Pirate Queen - his life would have been very different.
On a trip to France William is kidnapped by the Cornish Captain Rumtug and his daughter Martha May, and traded as a commodity with a price on his head.
In Ireland he ia introduced to a family he never knew he had. Things can never be the same again for William. He even has an audaicous to kidnap Martha May who kidnapped him. After twists turns and sub plots of events we arrive at the big finale, and what a finale!
