Norman Gorringe has been found dead in his London flat. The police originally suspect suicide - but a friend of the deceased manages to convince Scotland Yard that this is a case of murder. The counsel for the defence is less convinced, however, and calls in forensic experts Arnold Keene and Bernard Young to look into the affair. As their investigation proceeds, the pair uncover a fiendish plot to incriminate an innocent man. But discovering the true culprit will be far from easy...
