The Clue of the Rising Moon

Peter Blakeney, an ex-veteran turned playwright, is hard at work on his first masterpiece. What better place to finish his writing than in the secluded holiday camp on the shores of Wolf Lake in the Adirondack mountains? Unfortunately, the camp's other residents have different ideas and soon Blakeney finds himself embroiled in their personal affairs. But events take a sinister turn when one of their number is murdered - worse still, there appears to be an armed convict on the loose. Fortunately for Blakeney, however, his new friend Trevor Dene of Scotland Yard is also staying in the region. But why is Dene so preoccupied with the phases of the moon?
