Beachaven is a quiet, select sort of coastal resort. Its promenade is small and it has only one fashionable hotel - the Beachaven Hydro. But this peace is shattered when the wealthy businessman, Sir Gilbert Dyall, is found shot in his room, and the Hydro plays host to a baffling murder investigation.
