        過去二十多年來，Rocky都期待著每年夏天的家族旅行：在鱈魚角這個有如世外桃源的地方，樸素的度假小屋和明媚的海岸風光，乘載著他們一家人各式各樣酸甜苦辣的回憶。今年，他們一樣來到了這塊往日的避暑地，Rocky夾在已經半大的孩子們和年邁的父母之間，努力地想維持和往年一樣的開心氣氛。然而她陷在更年期症狀所帶來的情緒起伏中，憂鬱、憤怒、燥熱，她與摯愛的丈夫大吵一架。小屋的唯一一間廁所也因為汙水處理系統故障，將度假氣氛搞得烏煙瘴氣。
 
        一連串的事件將Rocky的思緒送往過去，她重溫著往年的種種時刻：孩子們小時候既可愛又麻煩的纏人模樣、父母親仍健壯的身影，那些充滿溫柔與悲傷的每個夏天。Rocky必須重新審視自己身為母親的角色，當她仔細觀察這個家庭的過往和未來，她知道，自己終究無法再對所愛的人隱瞞任何事情了。(文／博客來外文館)
