The Theory of Reasoned Action: Its Application to AIDS-Preventive Behavior

Originating in a symposium on HIV/AIDS held at the 1991 Australian Social Psychology Conference, this volume represents the range of social-psychological research on HIV prevention in Australia, all of which is informed by the theory of reasoned action (TRA), but which involves a number of different behaviors and different populations. The theme is TRA and safer sex, and the various chapters indicate the complexity of research issues in this area, as well as giving an account of the ways in which TRA can be tested and applied.
