On Target 1, Second Edition, by James Purpura and Diane Pinkley. On Target 1 and 2 are the intermediate levels of Scott Foresman English, a theme-based, integrated skills program for secondary and adult students. Scott Foresman English is a unique and flexible series with multiple entry levels. The components can be used together as a comprehensive multilevel course or individually as separate mini-courses. Thematic units have personalized, engaging activities involving independent and group work. Grammar presentations and practice allow students to focus on form, meaning, and use; listening and speaking skills in real-life contexts allow students to develop effective communication strategies.
