Childhood family tragedy leaves Dorothy traumatized but determined to live an independent life. Expected to find a wealthy husband, she is sent to schools in St. John’s, NL, and London, England. A love affair with a British SIS agent and an international scandal force a return to Newfoundland and into a family feud over her father’s estate.
Dorothy’s husband Billy, one of the airport’s original radio operators, was also a British SIS agent in Gander. Curious about the identity of his handler and the sudden disappearance of his buddy Seamus, he challenges Dorothy’s stories with determination. Son George attempts to reverse his mother’s dementia by reviewing photos of life in Gander during the war with her.
Will Dorothy keep her secrets, or will dementia make her divulge them to the world?
