安．佛提耶（Anne Fortier）

　　出生於丹麥，2005年在丹麥出版了第一本小說《山上的牧羊人》，這是一本驚悚兼喜劇的小說，內容關於科學、宗教以及找尋「諾亞方舟」的故事。這本書入選「哥本哈根書展」的「年度最佳新人新作」。

　　2002年移居美國，在電視圈工作。目前與丈夫住在魁北克。《茱麗葉》一書的靈感得自她母親，她一直認為維洛納是她的第二故鄉……直到她發現了西恩那，並且告訴作者說：「你知不知道《羅密歐與茱麗葉》最初版本的背景是在西恩那？」作者從那時候起，開始研究西恩那歷史，以及羅密歐和茱麗葉的家譜，並且在大約半年後，就開始執筆寫作《茱麗葉》這個故事。

She co-produced the Emmy-winning documentary Fire and Ice: The Winter War of Finland and Russia and holds a Ph.D. in the history of ideas from Aarhus University, Denmark. The story of Juliet was inspired by Anne Fortier’s mother, who always considered Verona her true home . . . until she discovered Siena.
