Eduardo Mariscotti is a lawyer and graduated from the University of Buenos Aires. Native from Argentina, he earned a Master of Law (LLM) in International Business Law from the University of London in England with a scholarship from the British Council. Eduardo also holds an MBA from the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires. He graduated from the Lee Iacocca Leadership Program for Future Leaders in Business and Industry at Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, (USA) and he took the Management Program for Lawyers at Yale School of Business. Eduardo worked for Baker & McKenzie at the Buenos Aires Office and he took a six-month internship for international lawyers at Wilde Sapte Solicitors in London, England in 1996. He was Chief of the Legal Department of Cablevision, one of the biggest TV Cable Operators in Latin America from 1998 to 2003. From 2004 to 2011, he was General Counsel of Walmart Argentina ( Director of Legal, Ethics, Compliance and Labor Relations) and a member of the Walmart Argentina Executive Committee. In 2011 he was promoted and transferred to Bentonville, Arkansas, to work at Walmart Home Office. At Walmart, from 2011 to 2017 he took the roles of VP of International Compliance, VP and Latin America Regional Ethics Officer and VP of Human Resources for the US market. As VP of International Compliance, Eduardo designed and delivered a global compliance strategy for the organization excluding the U.S. market. He oversaw the development and delivery of compliance programs and headcounts in facilities around the world, supervised the review and evaluation of compliance issues and concerns. As VP of Ethics Latin America, Eduardo held responsibility for designing and executing an ethics program for over 400,000 associates spanning 10 countries across the Latin American region. He supervised a 45-member team in creating, implementing, reviewing and updating policies, tools and procedures for an organizational ethics program. Eduardo supervised Ethics and Compliance Programs across Canada, Central America, South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia. He managed large geographically dispersed teams with diverse skill sets and he invested time in training and mentoring people to ensure organizational growth and professional development. His expertise in Legal and Corporate Risks is supplemented by his experience and qualifications in Business Law, Strategy and Human Resources. He works for Cameron Smith & Associates (CSA), in Arkansas, one of the best headhunting firms in the world. He helps companies to recruit top talent in the US and around the world. Eduardo was certified at the "Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics" (SCCE) and at the "Ethics and Compliance Officer Association" (ECOA) and in the last few years he is partnering with Estudio Oderigo - a well-recognized criminal law firm in Argentina - to help argentine organizations to design and implement ethics and compliance programs. Eduardo wrote articles about legal, ethics and compliance in legal publications and newspapers. He also wrote a paper for the International In-house Counsel Journal. Eduardo gave more than one hundred lectures and presentations in legal management, ethics, compliance, anti-corruption, diversity, and leadership. Eduardo was a member of the Advisory Board of the Hispanic Initiative at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and a member of the Board of Directors of the National Hispanic Corporate Counsel. At Walmart, he was co-founder and treasurer of the Hispanic Officer Caucus.
