Prof. P. N. Tekwani received his PhD degree "Power Electronic based Multi-Level Inverter Fed Induction Motor Drives" from the Centre for Electronics Design and Technology (CEDT), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, in 2006. He is the recipient of multiple awards among which the "Young Engineer National Award 2010-11 from Institution of Engineers (India)", "ISTE-SGSITS National Award for Best Research - 2009", and "Young Engineer National Award - 2008 from Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE)".
Presently Dr. Tekwani works as Head of the Electrical Engineering Department (which encompasses Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Control, as well as Electrical Engineering Sections), Section Head of Electrical Engineering Programme, Professor and Coordinator of the PG Electrical Engineering Programme of Institute of Technology, Nirma University. Since 1
st July, 2015 he has also been given the charge of Director - Institute of Technology and Dean - Faculty of Technology and Engineering (FoTE), Nirma University. He is the author / co-author of more than 68 national / international research publications focused on power electronics converters, power supplies, induction motor drives, multi-level inverters, active power filters, and power quality issues.
Dr. Madhuri Bhavsar, Chair of NUiCONE 2015, is having total 23 years of academic and 9 years research experience in engineering field. She is working as Senior Associate Professor and Section Head of Information Technology, Institute of Technology, Nirma University. She has also worked as a Co-Chair of NUiCONE 2013. She has published more than 25 papers in International conference and journals. Her research area includes High Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering and Wireless Sensor Networking. She is working on funded research project and patent in the field of Cloud computing.
Dr. B. A. Modi is Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, Institute of Technology, Nirma University. Ahmedabad. He has 24 years of academic, industrial and research experience. He has received PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi for research in "Investigations on formability of AA5182 Aluminium alloy in hydroforming of square cups". He did his master’s degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He has published 20 research articles in International/National journals and conferences. He has carried out 4 consultancy projects and 4 funded research projects in the area of sheet metal forming, welding and composites.
