E.M. Richmond has been writing stories from her teenage years and could often be found scribbling ideas in a notebook. She is an avid reader of the Spenser detective series by Robert B Parker but professes a fondness for Nancy Drew mysteries and Trixie Belden. She also enjoys thrillers by Robert Ludlum and classic fiction by authors such as Alexandre Dumas. E.M. Richmond grew up in a small city in the lower half of the North Island and lived there for about thirty years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and is also a qualified journalist. Since leaving the newspaper profession behind she has continued honing her craft by writing fan fiction - stories using characters from various television shows. This has allowed her entry into worlds a kid raised in a lower middle-class, one-income family could only dream about. She freely admits to having her own personal health issues, including bouts of depression, which served as the inspiration for this story. She currently lives in Hamilton, New Zealand.
