An Investigation Into Individual Trust Development in Computer Mediated Teams

This book is showing an investigation of how individual trust develops over time in computer mediated teams. The research takes two years to finish, which takes two case studies. This book concerns computer mediated teams, trust development and collaboration. Teamwork has evolved by using the latest facilitated collaboration technology such as GroupSystem(TM). Social factors are important whenever human participants undertake a collaborative project. Trust, which is also an important social factor, is significant within the computer mediated teams. Evidence shows that different levels of trust will lead to different team collaboration. Trust has also been identified as an important issue in computer mediated communication and computer supported collaborative learning teams.
