The Propriety of Affection follows the love life of Marian Amberly, a young lady in Georgian England, where society dictates a lady’s first ambition ought to be matrimony, and love should be but a secondary consideration. The idealistic Marian hopes for more than rank and fortune--she desires a companion she can love and respect. Should she marry the dashing and rakish Lord Richard Beauregard, one of London’s most eligible bachelors?
