Mamie Tape Fights to Go to School: Based on a True Story

Traci Huahn, daughter of immigrants from China and Hong Kong, was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. With a love of research and advocating for others, Traci went on to law school and became a lawyer. She is a member of SCBWI and 12x12, and a 2023 #PBParty Finalist. She loves traveling far and near, but home is where her heart is. Most days you can find her there, along with her husband, two kids, her pup who loves to chew anything she can get her paws on, and a blue betta fish named Walter.

Michelle Jing Chan is a Chinese American illustrator who grew up in Colorado and now lives in the Pacific Northwest. Ever since she could hold a pencil, she loved creating art and bringing the daydreams in her head to life. When she’s not drawing, you can find her attempting TikTok recipes, curling up with a new book, or binge-watching spooky TV shows.
