David L. Meth is a novelist, an award-winning playwright who has been produced nationally and internationally, and an educator who has lived, taught and traveled in various parts of the world. He spent three years on research for A HINT OF LIGHT, including a year in Korea and a year in Japan, and collected audiotapes and photographs of the children, orphanages, and people who cared for them. His play, 9/12, was awarded the 2008 Peace Writing International Award, and he won a 2009 Connecticut Playwrights Fellowship for his play, TO THE DEATH OF MY OWN FAMILY. He continues to write on provocative, multicultural subjects that challenge his readers and audiences. More about his work can be found on his web site at DavidMeth.com
