Dr. Elizabeth King is the CEO and founder of International Holistic Center(IHC) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is an internationally renowned wellness expert, psychotherapist, hypnotherapist, corporate development leader, empowerment speaker, radio personality, coach and trainer. Dr. King also serves as an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University. She is regarded by her peers as a leader and a visionary. Dr. King learned early on that through adversity, you can choose to either be a victim or a survivor. All of her accomplishments clearly demonstrate that she has chosen to be a survivor. She contracted polio at age 3 in the Dominican Republic and underwent 35 surgeries in the U.S. Almost eight years ago, at the height of her 20-year career with the Broward County School District, chronic pain caused her to be bedridden for almost two years. Little did she know then that holistic medicine was going to get her back on her feet again and become her life’s work. Because of her own personal journey of discovering holistic medicine, she founded IHC. Her goal was to create a center where nonconventional and conventional practitioners work together to treat and heal the whole person. What started off as a dream is now a first-class holistic center that attracts people from around the globe. Using her impeccable leadership skills, Dr. King has put together a strong and dedicated-and growing-team of professionals who have helped her lead IHC to the highest tier of the health and wellness industry. In conjunction with running the center, Dr. King creates, produces and directs the highly acclaimed "Dr. King’s Health Fusion Hour," a weekly segment on AM radio. This show is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and empowering listeners to take full control of their health and lives. As if this is not enough, Dr. King recently held the First Annual Women’s International Holistic Conference...Suits, Stilettos and Lipstick with close to 300 attendees. Audiences connect immediately with Dr. King, not only because of her extensive clinical and leadership background, but because she speaks from the heart and has an infectious passion for helping people. Dr. King earned her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, her Master’s in Social Work from Florida International University, and her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Nova.
