The Shallow End Of Town

Al Reisz is a writer that was born and raised in the Gentilly section of New Orleans. He had lived and worked abroad until the early 1980’s when he came home to the moss-draped oaks of The Crescent City. He moved to the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain to raise his family and grow his business . He had been in the same house in Slidell, LA, since 1985 when Hurricane Katrina struck that awful day in August of 2005. As a survivor of the storm he moved to Houston and spent nine years there as a Katrina refugee. In 2014 he and his wife made the decision to sell their Houston home and move back to the area in which they raised their children and spent a good portion of their lives. He and his wife presently reside in Waveland, MS.
