James K. Rone, MD, is a writer and board-certified endocrinologist in Murfreesboro, TN where he has been in private practice since 1998. Before that he was a U.S. Air Force physician for eleven years. Dr. Rone is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology; he holds memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the American and European Thyroid Associations, the American Diabetes Association, The Endocrine Society, and The Obesity Society. Besides over a quarter century of clinical experience, Dr. Rone is a diabetes and thyroid patient himself. He has authored several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, a textbook chapter, and is a mystery novelist. His previous nonfiction title, THE THYROID PARADOX: HOW TO GET THE BEST CARE FOR HYPOTHYROIDISM is available in print and ebook versions through numerous online retailers. He lives with his wife, Susan, three horses, two cats, and a dog named Emma, on their farm outside Nashville.
