Nolwazi is a young lady from Gqeberha who came to Johannesburg to advance her studies and pursue her career. He meets a young man by the name of Sonwabo who after six months of dating, they get married. For Sonwabo, marrying Nolwazi was his way of starting afresh, leaving the life he once led where he earned himself the name, Mastermind. In marrying Sonwabo, Nolwazi finds a way to escape the pain and grief that came with the senseless killing of her fiancé and the father of her son in a car hi-jack.

Does Nolwazi receive the happily-ever-after fairytale marriage every girl dreams of, being married to Sonwabo or is her life in the turmoil of love, lies and betrayal as every hidden secret comes to light?
