The Wet Woman

Alejandra D. Mattoni lives in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Her most recent work is inspired by a childhood dream, or possibly a memory, in which she overheard her parents discussing a man who sold his stepdaughter in order to pay off a gambling debt. While driving the California freeways one day, the memory of this conversation she may or may not have overheard as a child came to her. And she thought, what if the child came back?
