F. E. Mazur grew up in Western Pennsylvania near the Allegheny River and was educated at Slippery Rock University. After teaching in the public schools of his home state and New York, he worked for a regional advertising agency and often wrote the copy for his consumer and industrial clients. In the 90s he became employed as the staff writer for an avant-garde multimedia computing lab at Cornell University. His articles arising from the experimentation of bringing various media together in a computerized setting appeared in popular, trade, and academic journals. He has contributed to a wide range of publications. His fictional works include The Buckseller, Spine, P O D, The Halftone Man, Unvisited Spaces and Twelve Other Stories.
