A world veiled from our own, chooses their kings and queens in an unusual way. Rather than birth, it selects the worthy from across the veil to be summoned as the next rulers of the four kingdoms. Rose, a broke lifeguard, is the next summoned to rule the Kingdom of Iudex. She is rescued by the King of Ignusia, who she later discovers to be the boy who disappeared from their world ten years prior-Declan. Thrown in the midst of civil war, a rogue king, and the fallout from the death of the previous ruler of Iudex, Rose must learn quickly if she is to survive in this new strange, enchanted world.

Tachina Eva is a Wife, Mother, Air Force Veteran, Equestrian, and wearer of many hats. Inspired by her military service and her love for fantasy, she wrote the first book of the Paralleled Series in 2017. Upon the success of the first book, she published her second book, The Curse of Ignus in 2019. Her latest book in the series, The Rains of Mentis, was published in 2024.
