Spear Masters: An Introduction to African Religion

The authors contend that in Africa there exists only one religion with a vast array of ’denominations.’ African religion is expressed in a different way by each of the denominations, which creates confusion for those who believe that there are more than one African religion.

Molefi Kete Asante is a professor in the Department of African American Studies at Temple University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles. He is a published author of more than sixty books and 300 scholarly articles. Emeka Nwadiora has a double doctorate from Howard University and from Temple University respectively. He is a member of the School of Social Work at Temple University.
