Brevard Rosenwald School: Black Education and Community Building in a Southern Appalachian Town, 1920-1966

In this study of educating black students in Transylvania County, NC, Reed (Brevard College; Transylvania Center of Blue Ridge Community College) traces the history of a school in Brevard funded by a president of Sear, Roebuck, & Co. that left a positive community legacy.
