Sherlock and Transmedia Fandom: Essays on the BBC Series

This collection of essays examines the cultural intersections and fan traditions that have developed around the immensely successful BBC series Sherlock, a treatment of the Sherlock Holmes updated and re-vamped for the digital era. The series, which began in 2010, continues today and is considered an international phenomenon on several levels. General topics include transmedia and collective intelligence, Sherlock past and present, adaptations and intertextuality, and interpreting Sherlock.
