The Public Sector : Concepts, Models and Approaches

This textbook presents and analyzes the main theories about policy-making, implementation and management in the modern state. Students are introduced to basic paradigms, salient theories and theoretical hypotheses. Public sector processes of decision-making and implementation in the modern state are approached with a variety of models from different fields such as public policy, policy implementation, management and evaluation as well as the public choice approach and neo-institutionalism.
