In the preceding volume, Old Masters Signatures and Monograms, 1400--Born 1800, art researcher Castagno identified signature and monogram examples of some 1700 artists born prior to 1800 in order to aid art researchers in identifying the provenance of painting, sculptures, and other works of art. Here, he identifies signature and monogram examples of a further 800 artists, expanding the time period covered to artists born prior to 1820.
