There's no text; simply page after page of intriguing color photos, chosen with sly intelligence, that show how people dress around the world. Arrangement is by theme (e.g. headgear, extreme conditions, eyewear), and the photos are identified at the end. Graphic designer and social activist Kalman (1949-1999)--he was the editor of Benetton's Colors magazine--had finished the picture selection and design of this book before he died, and the work was completed by his wife Maira, a children's book author and illustrator. This is a reprint of the 2000 publication. Annotation 穢2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
