Human Trafficking: A Bible Study on Awareness and Prevention

Commercial sexual exploitation (CSE)-also known as human trafficking-is an insidious industry, but unfortunately it is not a new one. We can find examples of trafficking in the world going all the way back to some of the most well-known stories in the Bible. In this six-week study, Dr. Montgomery presents the facts of human trafficking alongside some pertinent Bible passages to help Christians understand God’s heart for victims, survivors, and even perpetrators of CSE. Scripture has great hope to share with all who have ears to hear. Small groups studying Human Trafficking together will learn how to formulate a Christian response to the modern problem of trafficking in light of ancient scriptural examples.

Dr. Amanda C. Montgomery is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and a licensed marriage and family therapist. She holds a DMin from Nazarene Theological Seminary, an MA in marriage and family therapy from Pacific Lutheran University, and a BA in psychology from Western Washington University. Amanda is the founder of Olympia Pastoral Counseling and a speaker on trafficking prevention and awareness.
